Launched in April 2010, the Community Power! program worked with volunteer groups and municipalities across Snohomish County to help bring energy conservation to more communities. Community Power! was a collaboration between the PUD, Snohomish County, the City of Everett, and the Washington State University Energy Program. It was funded in part through federal stimulus grants under the American Recovery & Reinvestment Act. This program concluded in March 2012.

South Everett Multi-Family Complexes
- More than 2,500 apartment homes benefitted from the installation of efficient lighting, low-flow showerheads, and faucet aerators.
- Insulation, efficient windows, and/or efficient common area lighting were installed at 22 apartment complexes.
South Everett Businesses
- 144 small businesses had efficient lighting installed.
Snohomish County Residential Communities
- Grassroots efforts organized by community volunteers included energy fairs, door-to-door CFL bulb distribution, and peer-to-peer marketing of home energy assessments, reaching more than 3,000 households total.
In all, Community Power! participants are saving more than 5.3 million kilowatt-hours, or about $450,000 annually.
