Winter Storm Preparation

Have a Backup Plan Ready for Major Storms

No utility can guarantee uninterrupted power, especially during storm season when our area is hit by wind, rain and snow storms. Power outages can range from inconvenient to tests of endurance, depending on how long they last. Be prepared to protect you and your family by having a backup plan for lengthy outages:
  • Create an emergency preparedness kit now
  • Know where local shelters are located
  • Consider a portable generator
  • Do NOT use a barbecue to provide heat indoors (this can be deadly)
  • If you have a cell phone or tablet, keep a back-up battery fully charged
  • Keep our outage reporting number handy: 425-783-1001
